Ephraim Katzir Prize – Call For Nominations

The Federation of the Israel Societies for Experimental Biology (FISEB/ILANIT) invites you to nominate candidates for the ILANIT-Ephraim Katzir Prize for their outstanding research achievements in the Life Sciences.

The ILANIT-Ephraim Katzir Prize, which covers all  areas of the Life Sciences, is awarded once every three years at the ILANIT/FISEB Conference. The total prize awarded by the Weizmann Institute is 20,000 NIS.

Submission Instructions

  • Candidates should be Israeli citizens working at an Israeli university (including the Weizmann Institute of Science) who have not received the Israel, Wolf, Rothschild, or Emet Prizes.
  • Candidates must be PhD holders or active physician-scientists (MD or MD/PhD) who conduct outstanding research.
  • Candidates are not allowed to nominate themselves.
  • Members of the Scientific Committee or the Executive Committee of ILANIT/FISEB 2026, as well as members of the Prize Committee, cannot nominate or be nominated.
  • Nominators should submit one PDF file via email to tami.geiger@weizmann.ac.il  with the subject “ILANIT-Ephraim Katzir Prize”.

The PDF Nomination File Should Include:

Name, affiliation, and address of the nominator.

Full C.V. of the candidate.

List of publications of the candidate (please subdivide to reviews, clinical, and scientific studies).

Executive summary of the candidate’s scientific achievements (up to one page; single space, font 12).

Two letters of support from scientists other than the nominator and the nominee.
