Call for Nominations

Deadline for the nomination of candidates is December 30, 2022.

The Federation of the Israel Societies for Experimental Biology (FISEB/ILANIT) invites you to nominate candidates for the ILANIT-Ephraim Katzir Prize for their outstanding research achievements in the Life Sciences. The ILANIT-Ephraim Katzir Prize, which spans all fields of the Life Sciences, is awarded once every three years during the ILANIT/FISEB Conference.

The awardee will be selected by a committee including representatives of the academic institutes of Israel.

The sum of the prize given by the Weizmann Institute is 20,000NIS.

Instructions for submission
  • Candidates should be Israeli citizens who work in one of the Israeli Universities (including the Weizmann Institute of Science) but were not awarded the Israel, Wolf, Rothschild, or Emet Prizes.
  • Candidates may also be MD/PhD active physicians who perform excellent research.
  • Candidates cannot nominate themselves.
  • Members of the Scientific Committee or Executive Committee of ILANIT/FISEB 2020 and members of the Prize Committee cannot nominate or be nominated.
  • Nominators should submit one PDF file by email to  ayelet.erez@weizmann.ac.il, with the subject ILANIT-Ephraim Katzir Prize.
The nomination file should include the following documents:
  1. Name, affiliation, and address of the nominator.
  2. Full C.V. of the candidate.
  3. List of publications of the candidate.
  4. Executive summary of the candidate’s scientific achievements (up to one page; single space, font 12).
  5. Two letters of support from scientists other than the nominator and the nominee.
