Five special sessions, organized by students, post-doctoral fellows and research fellows, were selected by the Scientific Organizing Committee, out of over 20 submitted session proposals, as a part of the regular scientific program. The scientific committee took into consideration the novelty and timeliness of the topic, and the redundancy with existing sessions.
The sessions are:
Microminerals homeostasis: mechanisms and disease implications
Plasmid Biology
Simulating Life: Digital Twins for Precision and Planetary Health
Bacterial multicellularity and aggregation
Immune Restraint: Targeted Strategies to Suppress Harmful Immunity in Autoimmune, Inflammatory, and Infectious Diseases
